BLUEPRINTS

About BLUEPRINTS

In Vox Liminis we do lots of creative projects collaboratively, and interesting relationships and ideas come out of it. However when we present the output of that work to the public we often fall into more traditional, artist-audience, producer-consumer roles. This is great for everyone performing, however, we thought that alongside this we could experiment in doing this in different, even more collaborative ways. Perhaps by getting people more involved in the creative stuff we could spark more change?

Blueprints is a 12-month project experimenting with new forms of public engagement about crime, punishment and reintegration.

We are attempting to do this using ‘speculative imagination’, which essentially means creating elements of an imagined fictional world. In a world that tells people with experience of the criminal justice system that they simply must ‘reintegrate’, we will instead use imagination as a tool to conceive of our society as a more integrative place. Shaking ourselves out of our usual songwriting comfort zone, we’ll do this using songwriting, visual art, and filmmaking.
