This film was made during a community-based Vox Session that took place in The Briggait, Glasgow. In August 2015 we brought together people who've been through the criminal justice system to work with songwriters, musicians and criminologists for a two day workshop. Although it was made over two years ago, it remains a good introduction to the work of Distant Voices, and what goes on in Vox Session. 

 

Since this film was made, Distant Voices has evolved to incorporate a collaborative action research project, with research funding provided by ESRC and AHRC (grant reference: ES/P002536/1), alongside funding from Creative Scotland and SPS.
