Vox Saturdays / April 7th

Following the success of our February event with C Duncan we’re back for another edition of Vox Saturdays – part of East End First Saturdays.

Yet again, we’ve got not one, but two special guests for you in April, and we’re buzzing about it!

We’ll kick things off with an open mic, followed by a concert from our talented neighbours round the corner in the Lodging House Mission Choir!

After that we’ll be welcoming Marc Rooney (of Pronto Mama fame). Marc has co-written one of our favourite tracks on the Distant Voices debut album and will be performing a mix of Pronto Mama material and some songs written in prison with Distant Voices.

As usual, there will be space for anyone and everyone to give us a song or a poem, and we’ll have free tea and coffee on the go too.

For those of you who haven’t made it along yet, at our ‘Vox Saturdays’ we host a relaxed open mic, followed by a headline set by one of the musicians we work with. It takes place on the first Saturday of the month, when there’s tons of other stuff on the go in the east end too.

It’s totally FREE and you can stay for as little or as long as you like!
