“Inspired by a picture of shoes hanging from a telephone wire, we discussed the different understandings of what this is a sign of: drug dealing area, a prank, or the death of someone in the community. This song reflects on how we often don’t even see these things, or don’t know the reason behind something, but can imagine our own stories behind them."
