Bars and Multi-Coloured Chairs
This song was written during a Distant Voices song-writing session in the women’s wing of HMYOI Polmont in March 2018. It is a hopeful and bittersweet song about seeing and being seen in prison, and ‘making the best out of a bad situation’. The title of the song refers to what Alana can see when she looks over the mezzanine down onto the floor below.
This is a project demo, recorded onsite as part of the workshop.
