Arguments and April Showers
This song was written during a Distant Voices song-writing session at HMP Castle Huntly in August 2017. Dean explains: ‘this song is written about my ex and about falling in love and thinking it will last forever, only to discover it doesn’t. It draws on the seasons to describe the different stages in a relationship, from its blossoming in spring to its end in winter. I have ended the song with “even though I’m moving on, I won’t leave you behind” because even though the relationship is over and we’re moving on, I believe we still take all the people we’ve ever cared about with us.’
This is a project demo, recorded onsite as part of the workshop.
